Andrea Villasante Ferrer

Andrea Villasante Ferrer holds a BSc in Biology and an MSc in Tropical Parasitic Diseases, both from Valencia University (Spain). She conducted traineeships in the Clinical Analysis and Microbiology services of the Doctor Peset University Hospital and in the Valencia Oncology Institute Foundation (Valencia, Spain). She has also worked as an environmental technician at the Sant Josep de sa Talaia Town Hall (Ibiza, Spain). She contributed to developing methodologies to analyse genetic load of SARS-CoV-2 in aerosol samples to assess current preventative measures and to develop a tool to alert of future COVID-19 episodes. She is currently a secondary school teacher in a high school.
